02. The Areas We Address
Is Your Past Still Affecting You?
Does this feel familiar?
Sometimes the ways we learned to protect ourselves in the past continue long after the original situation has changed. You may already recognise some of these patterns. You may even understand where they began. Yet understanding them does not always mean they are easy to change. Please expand any section that feels relevant to you.
You may have learned to:
- Stay quiet, avoid conflict, or hide what you really feel to reduce the risk of criticism, rejection or disconnection.
- Overgive, people-please, fix, rescue, or take responsibility for other people's emotions so they would not become upset or leave.
- Ignore your own needs, boundaries or intuition in order to preserve connection.
- Become highly independent because needing someone, asking for support, or relying on others once felt unsafe.
- Accept less than you needed because losing the relationship felt more frightening than staying.
- Hide parts of yourself because being fully seen once brought criticism, shame, betrayal or hurt.
- Pull away, shut down, or become emotionally unavailable when closeness begins to feel unsafe.
- Constantly read other people's moods, tone, behaviour or availability for signs that something might be wrong.
- Seek reassurance, approval or certainty because uncertainty in relationships feels difficult to tolerate.
- Adapt yourself so much to others that it becomes difficult to know what you actually feel, want, need or value.
- Make yourself smaller, quieter or easier to accommodate in order to keep the peace.
- Put your own life, desires or development on hold while caring for, pleasing or managing everyone else.
- Doubt yourself even when something inside you is telling you that a situation is not right.
What once helped you feel safer or protect connection may now be limiting the relationships and life you want to create.
You may find yourself:
- Wanting closeness while finding it difficult to fully trust, receive love, or let someone truly know you.
- Becoming anxious about rejection, abandonment, betrayal, or changes in another person's affection or availability.
- Reading deeply into messages, silence, tone of voice, or small changes in behaviour.
- Pulling away or emotionally shutting down just when a relationship begins to become more intimate.
- Giving far more than you receive and then feeling exhausted, unseen or resentful.
- Struggling to say what you need, set limits, or say no without guilt.
- Prioritising another person's feelings and preferences so consistently that you gradually lose connection with your own.
- Becoming drawn to emotionally unavailable, inconsistent, controlling, or familiar relationship dynamics, even when part of you knows they are not good for you.
- Staying in relationships long after they have stopped feeling healthy because leaving feels more frightening than remaining.
- Seeking frequent reassurance while still finding it difficult to feel genuinely secure.
- Feeling alone inside a relationship, even when you appear strong, capable and independent.
- Questioning your own perceptions and wondering whether you are asking for too much.
- Finding it difficult to receive care without feeling indebted, uncomfortable or vulnerable.
- Struggling to believe that healthy love can feel steady rather than intense, uncertain or difficult.
- Losing confidence in yourself after repeatedly adapting to what other people expect from you.
These patterns may shape not only who you choose, but how safe you feel being fully yourself with another person.
- The confidence you have in your own decisions.
- How much space you allow yourself to take up.
- Whether you pursue opportunities or hold yourself back.
- How comfortable you feel asking for what you want.
- Your ability to make important changes when something is no longer right.
- Whether you trust your intuition or continually second-guess yourself.
- How much energy is spent managing other people instead of living your own life.
- Whether fear of rejection, criticism or failure keeps you from taking action.
- How easily you allow yourself to receive support, recognition, care or opportunity.
- Whether you delay decisions because you are waiting to feel completely certain.
- Whether you remain in roles, situations or ways of living that you have already outgrown.
- How freely you allow yourself to pursue your own aspirations, relationships and development.
- The sense of freedom, possibility and direction you feel about your future.
YOU MAY ALREADY UNDERSTAND THE PATTERN
You may recognise what happens.
You may understand where it began.
You may have spent years reflecting, learning, developing yourself, going to therapy, receiving coaching, practising mindfulness, or consciously trying to respond differently.
And still, when something touches the deeper wound, you may find yourself returning to the same familiar response.
Awareness is important. But knowing the pattern is not always the same as being free from it.
The intention of deeper work is not simply to understand the past more intellectually.
It is to create the possibility of relating differently to yourself, to others, and to the life ahead of you.
The deeper question may no longer be only “Why do I do this?” but “What could become possible if I no longer had to?”
03. Potential Outcomes

04. How the Programme Works
WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR JOURNEY
Sacred Breakthrough is a guided psychedelic preparation, residential retreat and integration journey extending across a minimum of three months.
The journey begins approximately six weeks before the retreat with dedicated preparation, delivered fully online from anywhere in the world or in person in the heart of Bangkok.
You then come together in the Netherlands for a six-night residential retreat with five full retreat days, where legal psilocybin-containing truffles, known as sclerotia, are used as the psychedelic catalyst within the ceremonial experience.
Integration begins during the retreat and continues for approximately six weeks afterward through structured, scheduled individual sessions, arranged at mutually convenient times and available fully online or in person in Bangkok.
From preparation onward, you are paired with a Primary Practitioner, typically Fernando or Lux. In most cases, the same practitioner accompanies you through preparation, the residential retreat and integration, allowing the trust, understanding and relationship you build together to carry naturally through the complete journey.
It Begins With Preparation
Preparation begins approximately six weeks before you travel to the Netherlands.
Through individual sessions with your Primary Practitioner, delivered fully online or in person in Bangkok, you begin exploring what is happening in your life now and what is bringing you toward Sacred Breakthrough.
Together, you may explore:
- Current challenges and recurring patterns
- Relationships, boundaries and areas where you feel stuck
- Areas of personal growth and development
- Aspirations and changes you would like to make in your life
- Your intentions for the psychedelic experience
- Questions, concerns or uncertainty about the process
- Emotional, relational, existential or spiritual themes that may be meaningful to explore
- What altered states of consciousness can involve and how to approach them with greater understanding and readiness
Preparation is not about deciding in advance what your psychedelic experience should reveal.
It is about understanding you, what matters to you, and helping you enter the experience informed, prepared and supported.
Then Comes the Residential Retreat
You travel to the Netherlands for a six-night residential experience with five full retreat days, within a very small cohort of up to 10 participants.
Legal psilocybin-containing truffles, known as sclerotia, are used as the psychedelic catalyst within the ceremonial experience.
The programme includes two individually held psychedelic ceremonies, where your Primary Practitioner accompanies you throughout the altered state of consciousness, alongside a carefully held shared ceremonial experience.
The relationship you have already built during preparation continues into the residential retreat, allowing familiarity, trust and understanding to carry with you into the psychedelic experience.
Why the Psychedelic Experience Can Create a Different Kind of Opportunity
A Temporary Window for Seeing What Normally Feels Fixed in a Different Way
Emerging research suggests that psilocybin can temporarily alter the usual organisation of brain networks and may support a period of increased neuroplasticity and psychological flexibility.
In everyday terms, this may create a temporary window in which familiar ways of thinking, feeling and seeing yourself become less rigid, allowing new perspectives, emotional experiences and possibilities to become more accessible.
Patterns that may normally feel automatic or difficult to move beyond can sometimes be experienced from a different vantage point.
The psychedelic experience itself does not determine what changes afterward.
What becomes particularly valuable is the opportunity to explore what emerged, understand what feels meaningful to you, and work intentionally with it during the period that follows.
This is why Sacred Breakthrough places significant emphasis on preparation and integration, not only on the psychedelic ceremonies.
Integration Begins During the Retreat
Some psychedelic experiences bring forward clear insights.
Others may feel emotional, symbolic, embodied, spiritual, existential, abstract, or difficult to immediately put into words.
During the retreat, your Primary Practitioner helps you gently debrief and explore what emerged.
Together, you may consider:
- What stood out or felt meaningful
- Emotions, memories, imagery or insights that surfaced
- Experiences that remain difficult to understand or articulate
- New perspectives on yourself, your relationships or your life
- How the experience may connect with your intentions and aspirations
- What may be valuable to carry forward
After you return home, integration continues through four structured individual sessions across approximately six weeks, scheduled at mutually convenient times and available fully online or in person in Bangkok.
It is a deliberate, structured integration process designed to help you work with what emerged and explore how it may translate into your relationships, choices, boundaries, personal development and everyday life.
A profound experience may open new possibilities. Integration is where those possibilities begin to meet the way you actually live.
Sacred Breakthrough is deeply accompanied, but it remains your journey.
You remain the authority on your own experience.
Your Primary Practitioner is there to create safety, ask meaningful questions, offer perspectives and frameworks when useful, and support you in exploring what arises.
The meaning of your experience is not imposed on you.
Instead, the process supports you to listen more deeply to your own experience, discover what feels meaningful, and develop greater trust in your capacity to understand yourself and make choices aligned with your life.
Throughout preparation, ceremony and integration, the intention is to strengthen:
- Your autonomy
- Your ability to trust yourself
- Your capacity to make meaning from your own experience
- Your confidence in making conscious choices
- Your ability to recognise what feels right or not right for you
- Your capacity to translate insight into action in ways that fit your own life
Your practitioner may help you explore possibilities.
You decide what they mean and what you choose to do with them.
You are accompanied throughout the journey, while remaining the one who leads it.
Sacred Breakthrough takes place in a private residential environment with a small cohort of up to 10 participants.
You come together in one place while your personal journey remains deeply individual.
Your journey includes:
- A confidential initial consultation
- A separate suitability screening
- Four individual preparation sessions before the retreat
- Your own private room throughout the residential stay
- Two individually held psychedelic ceremonies
- Your Primary Practitioner accompanying your individual ceremonies
- A shared ceremonial experience with the wider retreat group
- Personal check-ins and practitioner support throughout the retreat
- Time to rest, reflect and process privately
- Four individual integration sessions after the retreat
- Gourmet meals, snacks and herbal teas throughout your stay
During Your Individual Ceremonies
Your Primary Practitioner remains with you throughout the experience, offering calm, attentive presence while respecting your autonomy, boundaries and personal process.
Because the relationship begins during preparation, you enter the psychedelic experience with someone who already understands your intentions, concerns, boundaries and the work you have explored together.
Additional practitioners may support the wider retreat experience where needed, while your Primary Practitioner remains the central relationship accompanying your personal journey.
Group Experiences Are Limited and Intentional
Sacred Breakthrough is designed to preserve individual space alongside carefully chosen shared experiences.
These may include:
- Morning yoga or embodied practices
- Evening sharing circles
- One shared ceremonial experience
- Selected preparation or integration activities

You may be skeptical.
You may wonder what it feels like to enter an altered state of consciousness.

These questions are welcome.

- Ask questions openly
- Learn more about psychedelic experiences and altered states of consciousness
- Discuss what is bringing you here
- Explore your concerns or uncertainty
- Understand how preparation, ceremony and integration are approached

You only need to be genuinely willing to explore whether this journey may be right for you.
Participation is subject to suitability screening.
This journey is designed to offer both personal attention and the reassurance of a carefully held retreat setting. Explore the sections below to learn how the experience is structured, what support you will receive, and what to expect if you are new to psychedelics or still feeling uncertain.

Lux Hettiyadura
Developmental Specialist Focusing on Attachment | ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC)Lux Hettiyadura is an internationally recognized Child & Family Development Specialist whose work bridges the worlds of developmental psychology, attachment, neuroscience, and nervous system regulation.
Her approach is built on a simple but powerful understanding: children are not problems to be fixed—they are human beings developing within environments that shape who they become. Rather than focusing on correcting children’s behaviour in isolation, Lux works with the entire ecosystem surrounding a child—parents, caregivers, educators, and relational environments—helping them create the conditions in which children can naturally thrive.
At the heart of her work is a developmental model she designed that places the child’s developing brain at the centre of five interacting ecological layers that influence growth: relationships, family dynamics, environment, emotional regulation, and social systems. Through this lens, she helps families and professionals understand how everyday interactions leave lasting developmental imprints on a child’s brain, identity, and relational patterns.
Her work integrates three fundamental domains of human development:
• The Developing Brain – Ongoing development of the brain architecture influenced by caregiving and emotional climate.
• Connection – The attachment system that shapes emotional safety from infancy through adulthood.
• Parenting and Family Systems – The environments in which children grow, learn, and form their sense of self.
By bringing these worlds together, Lux helps families and professionals move beyond surface-level solutions and instead address the deeper relational and developmental foundations that shape human behaviour.
Lux’s professional work is deeply informed by personal insight. Growing up in a challenging, dysfunctional family environment and educational settings that did not yet have the language or awareness to fully understand children’s emotional and developmental needs, she witnessed firsthand how many children struggle silently within systems that misunderstand their behaviour. This early experience shaped her lifelong conviction that many children are fighting invisible battles that adults do not yet know how to see.
She often describes children as acorns waiting to become magnificent oak trees—beings whose potential unfolds naturally when they are supported by the right environment. Her work is therefore grounded not only in academic knowledge and professional training, but also in a profound empathy for the inner worlds of children and the families raising them.
Lux’s work is uniquely interdisciplinary. She integrates insights from developmental psychology, neuroscience, attachment research, coaching science, and practices of nervous system regulation to support both children and the adults responsible for their care. Through this integration, Lux helps adults understand how their own emotional regulation, relational patterns, and self-awareness influence the developmental environment surrounding children. She also incorporates somatic, rhythmic, and movement-based practices, including trauma-informed yoga, to support emotional regulation and nervous system development in both children and adults.

09. Experience of a Participant
A PARTICIPANT'S JOURNEY
After completing her Sacred Breakthrough retreat and integration journey, and experiencing meaningful changes in her own life, Luiza chose to share her story so that others who may feel curious, uncertain, skeptical, or afraid can hear directly from someone who once stood in a very similar place.
Luiza had already spent years investing in personal development. She understood many of her patterns and had knowledge, awareness, and practices in place. Yet she still felt caught in certain loops and knew there were blind spots she could not move beyond alone.
She had never experienced psychedelic work before. She felt skeptical, nervous, and afraid. What helped her was not persuasion. It was clear information, patience, openness, and the freedom to make her own decision.
Throughout the journey, she describes feeling seen and understood, personally considered, supported without pressure, safe enough to relax, free to be herself, and accompanied before, during, and after the retreat.
In the months that followed, she noticed changes in her sense of self-worth, her confidence, her relationships, her ability to recognize old patterns, her willingness to take up space in her own life, and her ability to stop managing and fixing everything for others.
Her experience is personal. Every participant, every ceremony, and every integration journey is different. No particular result can be promised.

13. Retreat Details
YOUR RETREAT EXPERIENCE
The details below will help you understand what to expect before you arrive and throughout your stay. Explore each section for practical information about the retreat experience.
Each participant is provided with a private individual room for six nights.
This journey is deeply personal, even when you attend with a partner, family member, or close friend. Powerful experiences can bring unexpected emotions, insights, or simply a need for quiet and space. Having a room of your own means you always have somewhere private to rest, reflect, and process in your own way and at your own pace.
For this reason, we generally recommend keeping individual rooms, even if you are attending with someone.
If you are attending with someone and you both feel comfortable sharing one room throughout the retreat, rather than having a private room for each, you may request shared accommodation in advance. A total shared-room credit of €800 will be applied across your two bookings combined.
Private rooms with attached bathrooms may also be available on request. Additional fees may apply depending on venue availability and pricing.
During full retreat days, breakfast, lunch and dinner are included, beginning with dinner on arrival day and ending with breakfast on departure day. Light snacks, tea and drinking water are also available throughout the day.
Meals are prepared by a carefully selected catering partner using high-quality ingredients, with an emphasis on balanced, nourishing meals suited to the retreat experience. We do not follow a vegetarian-only diet. Menus may include vegetarian dishes alongside fish, poultry, red meat and other sources of animal protein, providing a varied and balanced selection throughout the retreat.
Please tell us about allergies, intolerances, religious dietary requirements or other specific dietary needs during your screening consultation. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate them. Where specialist ingredients, preparation or dedicated catering are required, additional catering fees may apply. Any such costs will be discussed with you in advance.
We recommend refraining from alcohol for the duration of the retreat.
Sacred Breakthrough is intentionally limited to a small number of participants.
Minimum: 6 participants
Maximum: 10 participants
Keeping the cohort small allows us to provide meaningful individual attention throughout the journey, while preserving the privacy, depth and personal space each participant may need for their own process.
Travel to and from the retreat venue is not included in the retreat fee.
We aim to select a venue as close to Amsterdam as possible and within a maximum travel time of approximately three hours from central Amsterdam. Venues are selected with accessibility in mind and can typically be reached by train, bus, taxi, or a combination of these, depending on the location. Detailed travel directions will be provided once the retreat venue is confirmed.
Participants are responsible for arranging any visa or entry requirements applicable to their circumstances and are required to hold comprehensive travel and emergency medical insurance valid in the Netherlands for the duration of their trip.
- Sacred Breakthrough is a private and confidential experience.
- We do not photograph, film, or use participants in marketing or promotional content.
- The identity, conversations, and experiences of other participants must remain confidential.
- Photography, filming, social media, or influencer content involving the retreat or other participants is not permitted.
- Phones are not permitted during ceremonies or in shared spaces. You may use your phone privately in your room when necessary.
- We strongly encourage you to step away from social media, news, and unnecessary external input, and give your attention to your own process, intentions, and growth.
Available research indicates that serious medical complications associated with psilocybin are uncommon, particularly when careful screening and appropriate support are in place. Nevertheless, your safety is carefully considered throughout the journey.
In the unlikely event that medical attention is required, we will assist you in accessing the nearest appropriate medical facility. The retreat itself does not provide onsite medical treatment.
Having a medical condition or taking prescribed medication does not necessarily exclude you from participating. Depending on your circumstances, we may ask you to consult your own healthcare professional as part of the suitability screening.
With your permission, we are also happy to liaise with your treating physician, psychiatrist, neurologist, therapist, or other relevant healthcare professional where this would help us consider your suitability and individual needs.
Comprehensive travel and emergency medical insurance valid in the Netherlands is required.
- Wear comfortable, layered clothing suitable for resting, moving, and spending time indoors or outdoors.
- Please maintain good personal hygiene and avoid strong perfumes or fragrances.
- Respect each person's need for quiet, privacy, and personal space.
- Strong emotions may arise. Please do not interpret, advise, comfort, or enter another participant's process unless invited and appropriate.
- The retreat is not a space for pursuing new romantic or sexual connections. We ask everyone to focus on their own journey and respect the vulnerability and boundaries of others.
- Our team is available throughout the retreat journey to support you when needed, during sessions, integration, and the time in between.

15. LEGAL AND PROFESSIONAL CONTEXT
OUR SHARED RESPONSIBILITIES
Sacred Breakthrough is a developmental and integration-focused programme. It is not medical, psychiatric, or psychological treatment, and we do not diagnose conditions or provide clinical symptom management.
Rather, the journey creates space to explore underlying patterns and adaptations that may have developed through difficult, overwhelming, or depriving experiences, including how these may continue to shape identity, relationships, emotional and embodied responses, life choices, and spiritual or existential meaning.
It does not replace appropriate professional healthcare, and no particular outcome can be guaranteed.
Your openness during screening is an important part of keeping the experience appropriate for you.
Please share complete and accurate information about relevant physical and psychological health, medications, supplements, previous psychedelic experiences, and any professional care you are currently receiving.
Please also tell us if anything important changes before the retreat.
Never discontinue or change prescribed medication without consulting the healthcare professional responsible for your care.
You do not need to arrive composed or know exactly what will emerge.
If emotions you have carried quietly for a long time begin to surface, you are welcome to feel and express them at your own pace. Our role is to offer a calm, non-judgmental environment where you can be with what arises without pressure, and later explore how those experiences may be meaningfully integrated into your life.
You are never expected to force an emotional release, insight, memory, or particular kind of psychedelic experience.
You remain the primary authority on your own experience. We do not impose interpretations or tell you what your experience should mean.
We also understand that you do not know us yet, and trust should not be assumed. Your complimentary initial consultation gives you an opportunity to meet us, ask questions openly, understand how we work, and explore whether you feel comfortable undertaking a deeply personal journey with us.
Your autonomy and personal boundaries remain important throughout the journey.
Supportive touch is optional, discussed in advance, and always requires consent. You may change your mind, ask for space, or withdraw consent at any time.
To protect the safety and integrity of your experience, our practitioners maintain a clear professional commitment that no interaction with participants is romantic or sexual in nature.
What you share during preparation, the retreat, and integration is treated as confidential.
Participants are expected to extend the same respect to one another. Another participant's identity, personal story, photographs, recordings, or experiences must not be shared without their explicit permission.
16. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
IMPORTANT QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Sacred Breakthrough uses psilocybin-containing truffles, also known as sclerotia. They contain psilocybin and psilocin, the compounds responsible for the psychedelic experience. Psilocybin truffles are legally available in the Netherlands and are openly sold through Dutch smartshops. Within Sacred Breakthrough, however, the psychedelic experience is only one part of a much broader journey involving preparation, carefully supported experiences, and structured integration.

Yes. Previous psychedelic experience is not required.
Many participants arrive with curiosity mixed with uncertainty. Preparation gives you time to understand what an altered state may involve, ask questions, become familiar with the process, and build trust before the retreat begins.
Suitability is considered individually through screening rather than according to whether you have used psychedelics before.
Absolutely.
You do not know us yet, and this is a deeply personal experience. We do not expect you to arrive already certain or completely comfortable.
Your complimentary initial consultation gives you an opportunity to meet us, ask questions openly, understand how we work, and explore whether you feel comfortable undertaking this journey with us. Trust should develop naturally, not be assumed.
No.
Some people come because they want to move beyond relationship wounds, difficult experiences, or patterns that continue to affect their lives. Others come because they want to grow, thrive, deepen their relationships, reconnect with themselves, find greater groundedness or inner peace, or explore meaning and spirituality. You do not need to arrive with something that needs fixing. What matters is that there is something meaningful you would like to explore or move toward.
Not necessarily.
A previous diagnosis or period of psychological difficulty does not automatically determine whether Sacred Breakthrough is suitable for you. We consider your current wellbeing, history, stability, medication, support system, and individual circumstances. In some situations, we may also suggest involving an existing healthcare professional before deciding together whether proceeding is appropriate.
Possibly. Taking medication does not automatically exclude you.
Please tell us what you are taking during screening. We can help identify where possible interactions or other considerations may need to be discussed with the clinician responsible for your medication.
If reducing, discontinuing, or changing prescribed medication is ever being considered, this must be discussed and managed with your prescribing healthcare professional. We will never ask you to stop prescribed medication independently in order to attend the retreat.
Yes, with your permission.
Where it supports safe and informed decision-making, we are happy to communicate with your physician, psychiatrist, neurologist, therapist, or another relevant professional involved in your care.
We are comfortable working alongside the professional support you already have.
We do not pursue extremely high or so-called heroic doses.
Our approach is gradual and individually considered. We begin conservatively with a very small amount to observe your individual response before moving, where appropriate, toward a carefully considered working dose.
More intense does not automatically mean more valuable. The intention is to create conditions for meaningful exploration while maintaining appropriate support and safety.
Psilocybin has very low physiological toxicity, and life-threatening toxicity from psilocybin itself is considered exceptionally rare. In controlled clinical research, deaths attributable to psilocybin have not been reported.
At Sacred Breakthrough, dosing is carefully controlled and individually considered, using an appropriate dose range for each participant alongside suitability screening, preparation, a carefully considered setting, and practitioner accompaniment throughout the experience.
Psilocybin generally produces changes in perception, emotion, attention, bodily awareness, or sense of self, but each person experiences it differently.
Some people experience vivid imagery or visual phenomena. Others experience the process primarily through emotions, memories, bodily sensations, perspectives, relationships, or shifts in meaning.
A highly visual experience is not necessary for the experience to be meaningful.
Usually, yes.
A psilocybin experience is not the same as being unconscious, anaesthetised, or physically paralysed. There may be periods when you naturally want to lie still, close your eyes, or remain deeply inward, but people are generally able to communicate needs and respond to their surroundings.
During your individual ceremonies, your practitioner remains available to communicate with and support you throughout the experience.
Your ordinary sense of time, identity, perception, or control may temporarily change. That is part of entering an altered state of consciousness.
It does not normally mean becoming completely unconscious or disconnected from your surroundings throughout the experience.
Preparation helps you understand these possibilities beforehand, and you are accompanied so that you are not expected to navigate the experience alone.
The acute psychedelic state is temporary.
The main effects of psilocybin typically unfold over several hours, often around four to six hours, although timing and intensity vary between individuals. You may continue to feel reflective, emotionally open, tired, or sensitive afterwards, which is why ceremony days allow time for rest and integration.
Remaining permanently in the acute psychedelic state is not the expected pharmacological course.
No.
During an individual ceremony, you receive one-to-one accompaniment. Your practitioner remains available throughout the experience.
There may be moments when you naturally want silence or inward space, but this is different from being left to manage the experience by yourself.
Strong emotions can arise, and they do not automatically mean that something has gone wrong.
Fear, grief, anger, love, vulnerability, sadness, or emotions you may have held back for a long time can sometimes surface.
You do not need to suppress these emotions for our comfort. We have created the retreat environment so you can feel and express what arises at your own pace, while your practitioner remains present, calm, and non-judgmental.
No.
There is no requirement to retrieve a memory, relive an event, cry, experience catharsis, or uncover a hidden trauma.
We trust your innate capacity to move toward what is most meaningful and relevant for you in the experience. Our role is to help you navigate what arises and later integrate it in ways that are useful and meaningful in your life.
That is completely okay.
A meaningful experience does not have to involve visions, mystical states, dramatic emotional releases, or one enormous life-changing realization.
Sometimes the most important movement is quieter: recognising an old pattern sooner, experiencing yourself differently, feeling more compassion, seeing a relationship from another perspective, or discovering that another way of responding may be possible.
There is no particular experience you are expected to achieve.
No.
We may help you explore what an image, emotion, memory, sensation, insight, or experience means to you, but we do not impose an interpretation.
We believe in your innate capacity to guide you toward what is most relevant and valuable within your experience. Our role is to help you navigate what emerges and support you in integrating it meaningfully into your life.
No. Sacred Breakthrough does not require or promote any particular religious, spiritual, or philosophical belief system.
You may come with a strong faith or spiritual practice, an entirely secular worldview, uncertainty about spirituality, or no spiritual belief at all.
Your worldview is welcome. If spiritual or existential material becomes meaningful during your experience, we are comfortable exploring and integrating it within your own belief system, without judgment and without imposing ours.
Yes.
Your autonomy remains important throughout the journey. You can decline an optional activity, change a boundary, ask for space, or decide before a ceremony that you do not wish to take psilocybin.
Once psilocybin has been taken, its effects cannot simply be switched off immediately. If you become uncomfortable during the experience, your practitioner remains with you and supports you while the effects naturally subside.
Available research indicates that psilocybin has a favourable safety profile when used with appropriate screening, preparation, setting, and support.
Temporary effects can include nausea, headache, anxiety, changes in blood pressure or heart rate, and periods of emotional intensity.
In a large survey involving more than 9,000 recent psilocybin mushroom users, approximately 0.2% reported seeking emergency medical treatment during the previous year, estimated at around 0.06% per use event. Research conducted in carefully screened and supported settings has similarly reported serious adverse events as uncommon.
Rare persistent perceptual effects, sometimes described as Hallucinogen Persisting Perception Disorder (HPPD), have also been reported. This is different from remembering, reflecting upon, or continuing to integrate a meaningful experience.
This is why we take screening, dose, set and setting, preparation, and practitioner accompaniment seriously.
No ongoing psilocybin use is required as part of Sacred Breakthrough.
Psilocybin is considered to have low abuse potential and is not known to produce physical dependence or a withdrawal syndrome.
You are not expected to begin microdosing, regularly repeat psychedelic experiences, or continue taking psilocybin in order to maintain what you gained.
After the retreat, the emphasis moves toward integration, bringing what was meaningful into your relationships, choices, behaviours, inner life, and everyday way of living.
No.
You are welcome to participate in group spaces without disclosing anything you would prefer to keep private.
Some people naturally feel comfortable sharing. Others need silence, privacy, or time before putting something into words. Both are respected.
Vulnerability is invited, never demanded.
Yes.
You can attend with someone important to you, but each person still enters Sacred Breakthrough as an individual participant with their own journey.
Even when you are exploring something connected to the relationship itself, each person's emotions, boundaries, ceremonies, insights, and integration remain their own.
This is also why we generally recommend individual rooms, even for people attending together. There may be moments when you want closeness and others when one or both of you simply need private space.
Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast
Contemporary clinical and research models of psychedelic-assisted work consistently include preparation before the psychedelic experience and integration afterwards.
Preparation helps establish trust, clarify intentions, understand relevant patterns and history, discuss expectations and boundaries, and help you approach an altered state with greater readiness.
Integration is the process of understanding what emerged and considering how insights, emotions, perspectives, or experiences might translate into your relationships, choices, habits, identity, and everyday life.
Preparation helps you enter the experience thoughtfully. Integration helps you decide what is worth carrying forward.
You do not need to understand everything immediately.
Some experiences feel clear very quickly. Others unfold gradually through emotions, memories, dreams, bodily responses, conversations, or changing perspectives over the following days and weeks.
This is one of the reasons integration continues after you leave the Netherlands. You have a structured space to explore what is emerging rather than being left alone to make sense of it.
Not at all.
The consultation is an opportunity for both of us to explore fit.
You can ask questions, discuss concerns, tell us what is bringing you here, and get a sense of who we are and how we work. We will also consider whether Sacred Breakthrough appears appropriate for you.
If either you or we feel that this is not the right journey, there is no obligation to continue.
We keep the core programme investment consistent across participants rather than changing the price according to personal categories.
Published Early Commitment and Shared Accommodation rates are available according to their respective conditions.
This allows us to provide the same level of preparation, practitioner time, accommodation, retreat support, and integration to every participant.
We would rather you join Sacred Breakthrough when the timing is right for you.
We do not recommend compromising essential financial responsibilities, taking on unsustainable debt, or placing yourself under significant financial strain in order to attend.
There will be future opportunities. Personal growth should not begin by creating a new source of financial stress.
There Is More to Your Story
What happened to you may have shaped how you learned to love, trust, protect yourself, and move through life.
But it does not have to define what comes next.
Sacred Breakthrough offers a carefully prepared space to explore what still remains, reconnect with yourself, and discover what may be possible beyond the patterns of the past.
The first step is a confidential conversation.
We will listen to what brings you here, answer your questions, explain the complete journey, and explore whether Sacred Breakthrough may be suitable for you.
